This evening while on patrol in Incline our squad ran into a new class of robot the Bane have deployed. Reconstructor robots appear to have a primary purpose of mass producing flash clones of anything in their environment to use against any perceived threat. This ability poses a serious issue as they have demonstrated the ability to clone AFS personnel, including myself. The clones retain all physical characteristics including armor and weapon loadouts. I need not point out the risk these clones pose to command structure. I strongly recommend caution in areas with confirmed reports of their presence.

Oh no!

Thank you Sarah! This is not good at all.

*thinks about multiple Enigmas running around blowing people up*

I'll get this information sent out through all intel channels asap!

Thanks!

They harbor biological material (most likely a medical grade micromech equivalent) so they are highly vulnerable to viral attacks.

They are unable to clone anything but your current state, however, so walking around with a less threatening weapon (such as emp, or spec tools) makes the clones they do create far less damaging.

Also of note, according to intel, is that all of their clones are biological in nature, even ones made of machinery.

Unfortunatly ma'am I've managed to prove that theory wrong. While I was enaging them with a standard battle rifle, the clones were carrying copies of the EMP chaingun I also had with me at the time. I haven't been able to judge whether they retain thier subject's nerual patterns or memories, so any form of identification by a shared secret is pointless so far.

Ahh.... the intel must be out of date then. Here's to hoping viral attacks still render them impotent.

There are few things more unnerving than being shot at by yourself.

I probably should not have said that.

These bots are mostly deadly when there are many of them, like caretakers I consider them a primary target when engaging. And be wary of shooting what you assume to be a clone of one of your comrade. A few days ago a private in my squad shot a corporal in the foot. I was unsure which to reprimand, shotting a fellow soldier or being such a terrible shot.

I find, personally, that the survivors of humanity can only handle ONE of me... and even just one of me is sometimes walking around with a "shoot on site" tag. Haha.

Heaven help us all if I met one of these things unprepared...

I just ran into my first few of these today and they didn't seem all that challenging or really even intimidating.. until one cloned a Bane Mortar right in front of me. That was one of those infamous 'Oh shit' moments that got me runnin' for the nearest trench quicker than most things.

.. so yeah. They can clone mortars. Be careful an' such.

Question!

Do we have an intel on the lifespan of these "flash clones" and is it a feasible idea for them to be able to infiltrate and destroy key AFS equipment?

...like Cylons.

If this information is classified I will be following up on the proper intelligence channels at base camp.

I don't like the idea of many me's (That's still be better than certain AFS fighters) running around. I'll exercise extra caution when I get my transfer to Incline, and keep that viral leech up to date.
I wonder if it's possible to reprogram the bots to produce friendly clones...

This is Matt Spartan reporting,

Recent reports point to a robotic mining and manufacturing facility within Incline. Past investigations I have been sent on, I have found out that these same machines were the Brann's original security guards. The Bane have somehow infiltrated the factory and hot-wired their col-protocol. Not only are the bane using these drones for their own agendas but they will attack on sight any Brann or AFS or anything non-bane that crosses their path.

It would even be safe to assume that further hacking of the robots, the Bane could find more valuable data on DNA composition.

The target in question without a doubt would be the Rakisha Factory but whether this is the only facility or not, High Command wonders whether shutting down this facility would stop them completely or just slow them down - frankly I feel it would be the later; worth a shot though. Further analysis on their technology could prove useful.....

When I first ventured into incline I was not aware of the cloning drone things, I ran in with my Chaingun (Normal ammo), then I saw myself I thought I was hallucinating at first until it fired at me along with a couple more of the drones, I lost all my armor in that attack and I was badly wounded, I did manage to take it out with a combination of my chaingun and the RPG I was carrying at the time, I wish I could report more but had to teleport out to find the nearest medical base, but in doing so another drone cloned me while its partner took me out *Interutping the Teleport Process*, I have no idea what the lifespan on these clones is but there ay still be another Zenosis Newcomer out there (they would be Hostile). after being Ressed/cloned in incline I went back to foreas base to report my findings, I got banged up in the brig as I assaulted an officer after reading the Post 'The AFS is lying to you!'. Due to this I have been unable to return to Incline to eliminate this drone clone, someone do me the honor of taking it out if they see it.

Drone clones only have a limited lifespan. And the four clones of you didn't even live that long. I'm sorry I was too late to assist in your battle. But none of the drones or clones of you survived.
note: These drones are immune to EMP. Lightning, sonic and laser or physical work well. But mantain separtion or you will face yourself. And that hurts.

P.S. Hope you get out of the brig soon, we need all the help we can get out here.
